天美传媒鈥檚 Music Department will be hosting a Choral Ensembles Concert on Friday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m. and a Campus Band and Chamber Orchestra concert on Saturday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m. Due to Covid-19 both concerts are not open for the public to attend in-person unless a musician has provided a ticket, but will be available via live streaming at .

The Choral Ensembles Concert will include performances by Bella Voce (women鈥檚 chorus), Canons of Dordt (men鈥檚 chorus), Chorale (85-voice mixed choir), and Concert Choir (53-voice advanced mixed choir). Also featured will be the Midwest premiere of John Muehleisen鈥檚 鈥淜yrie Angustiis鈥 (Kyrie for Troubled Times). Joining the choirs will be several instrumental collaborators including piano, a string quartet featuring Dordt string faculty, and guitar. Bella Voce is conducted by Dr. Carrie Groenewold; all other ensembles are conducted by Ryan Smit.

The 天美传媒 Campus Band and Chamber Orchestra concert will present performances featuring music by Bob Margolis, Michael Colgrass, Gustav Holst, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and others. Undergraduate guest conductor Claira De Jong will take the stage in her instrumental conducting debut with the Campus Band to conduct Hugh Stuart鈥檚 鈥淭hree Ayers from Gloucester.鈥 The ensembles are under the direction of Dr. Onsby C. Rose.
