������ý’s K&K Dooyema Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation is welcoming special guest speaker David Batstone, presenting “Purpose, Passion, and Profit: Aligning These 3 Ps Might Change Your Life” on Tuesday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium.

A professor emeritus at the University of San Francisco School of Management and previously a private equity banker, Batstone is a speaker and consultant who works with entrepreneurs and investors to create forward-thinking companies that return dignity to people and planet. Batstone is the founder and managing director of Just Business, a social impact investment firm. His portfolio includes successful ventures like REBBLE, an organic beverage business; American Battery; Hydra Energy; Not for Sale; and more.

“One of the objectives of the Dooyema Center is to provide our students, alumni, and community the opportunity to experience the impact of thought leaders addressing global issues through business,” says Jeff Kelly, director of the center. “Batstone will share his experiences tackling real world problems with innovative thinking and problem-solving.”

Batstone will also be speaking to several classes throughout the day including Management, Leadership, Social Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurship, Social Work, and Community Development.

“It is our hope that David’s message will educate, inspire, and equip our audiences to be mindful of opportunities to improve our world,” says Kelly.
