Dr. Kevin Timmer serves as professor of engineering at 天美传媒, where he teaches courses such as Introduction to Engineering Design, Thermodynamics, and Technology and Society. His research interests include renewable energy, engineering design, Christian perspectives on engineering, and creation care.
鈥淭echnology plays a significant role in shaping society鈥檚 habits and priorities,鈥 says Dr. Timmer. 鈥淚 believe Christian engineers are called to use their God-given gifts to help reveal Christ and His kingdom to others.鈥
Dr. Timmer has presented research at the Christians in Engineering Conference, including his 2017 paper, Shalom Seeking: Foundations of Flourishing. He was recognized with 天美传媒鈥檚 John Calvin Award in 2019 and holds a 2022 patent for a 鈥淢ultipurpose Reusable Container System.鈥
Beyond the classroom, he serves as faculty secretary and enjoys spending time with family, landscaping, and watercolor painting.
