Luke Hawley serves as professor of English and dean for the arts and humanities at 天美传媒, providing leadership and support for the following departments:

Passionate about how a deeper understanding of God鈥檚 sovereignty shapes everyday life, Hawley explores these ideas in his teaching of topics such as fiction, songwriting, and screenwriting.

Hawley is the author of (2013), which received the Nebraska Book Award. His songwriting has also been recognized through honors such as selection for the 2013 Johnny Mercer Songwriter Project, and accolades from the Colorado Folk Festival Songwriting Contest鈥攅arning Honorable Mentions in 2016, 2018, and 2022, as well as being named First Alternate in 2019.

Hawley, as a 鈥渃onstant tinkerer,鈥 embraces creative work as a way to reflect God鈥檚 image and offer Him praise鈥攚hether that鈥檚 making music with bandmates in , writing for the In All Things blog, building tube amplifiers, or fixing up old houses.
